Two Turkish soldiers were martyred during an attack by PKK terrorists in northern Iraq, according to the Turkish army on Monday.

Axar.az reports quoting Anadolu Agency.

In a written statement, the Turkish General Staff said two soldiers were also wounded in the attack.

The military offered condolences to the families of the martyred soldiers and wished the injured soldiers a speedy recovery.

Turkish Armed Forces will "continue its fight against all terror organizations until the last terrorist is neutralized", the statement added.

The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- resumed its armed campaign against Turkey in July 2015.

Since then, it has been responsible for the deaths of more than 1,200 Turkish security personnel and civilians, including a number of women and children.
