Cyberattack hinders TV Pirveli broadcasting

Tbilisi-based TV Pirveli has suspended broadcasting after cyberattack damaged its central server, the TV channel announced on August 13.

Axar.az reports citing the statement released by the TV company, the cyberattack took place early this morning and “fully paralyzed the channel.”

It also said that the channel’s live broadcast has been interrupted and TV Pirveli is now trying to resume it by own forces.

TV Pirveli’s broadcast was still suspended as of writing this news article.

The Interior Ministry has yet to comment on the matter.

It should be noted that the "Pirveli", Georgian opposition television. Earlier, the television owner Vakhtang Chereteli was questioned for participating in money laundering via TBC Bank, owned by Mamuka Khazaradze.

Chereteli is also the son of Hazaradze's best friend
