Russia open to Black Sea security dialogue

Russia is open to dialogue with all countries on security in the Black Sea but is not currently engaged in concrete talks on bilateral agreements, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

Axar.az reports, citing TASS, that Peskov made the remarks when asked whether Moscow was considering bilateral agreements with countries including India, Egypt and Turkiye.

“It depends [on bilateral agreements], we are open to dialogue with all countries but are not engaged here in any concrete talks,” Peskov said.

Asked whether Russia had received proposals from other countries on Black Sea security, Peskov said the issue had been raised at a Valdai Club meeting the previous day and that Russian President Vladimir Putin had addressed it.
