North Korea fires ballistic missile toward sea

North Korea fired a ballistic missile toward waters off its east coast on Saturday.

Axar.az reports, citing Reuters, that South Korea and Japan said the launch came a day after Pyongyang rejected Seoul’s accusation that North Korean mines had wounded South Korean soldiers.

The missile was launched from the Wonsan area at around 6.30 a.m. on Saturday (2130 GMT, Friday) and flew more than 700 kilometres (434 miles), the South Korean military said in a statement. Seoul and Washington were analysing the test for details.
