A group of foreign journalists on Wednesday visited the area near the contact line of Azerbaijani and Armenian troops in the direction of Azerbaijan’s Fuzuli district.
The journalists met with head of the Fuzuli district executive authority Ali Aliyev.
Then, the journalists, accompanied by Azerbaijani soldiers, observed the height “Lala Tepe” liberated by the Azerbaijani side.
They also reviewed in the Alkhanli village of Fuzuli the homes destroyed by Armenian-fired artillery shelling.
In order to provide to the international community an unbiased insight into the damage suffered by civilians and civilian facilities as a result of the latest escalation of violence on the contact line of Armenian and Azerbaijani troops, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry and concerned bodies have decided to organize a trip to the front line for a group of foreign journalists accredited in the country and those coming from abroad.
Among the journalists are the representatives of Al Jazeera International, Reuters news agency, AFP news agency, Associated Press news agency, Russian Kommersant, Komsomolskaya Pravda, Novaya vremya newspapers, Turkish Anadolu Agency, TRT Channel, Iran and China and others.
