Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has extended condolences to Turkish President Recep Tayyib Erdogan over the deadly terrorist attack that killed 11 people and left 36 other injured in Istanbul June 7.
"Dear Mr. President, Dear Brother, we were deeply saddened by the news of loss of lives and injuries as a result of a terror attack in the city of Istanbul. This ruthless event once more underlined the necessity of jointly fighting against terrorism,” President Aliyev said in his letter of condolences.
“On behalf of the people of Azerbaijan and on my own behalf, I extend deepest condolences to you, bereaved families, loved ones of those who died and the brotherly people of Turkey, and wish the injured recovery. May Allah rest the souls of the dead in peace!,” Azerbaijan’s president said.
