The next round of Israel-Lebanon talks, scheduled to take place in Rome next week, has been postponed until October.

Axar.az reports that Axios journalist Barak Ravid made the announcement on X, citing a U.S. official.

"Instead, the Israeli and Lebanese ambassadors will meet at the State Department in Washington to discuss recent developments and the continued implementation of the framework agreement between the two countries," the statement reads.

According to the U.S. official, the next round of formal negotiations will be held in Rome in October.

"A source familiar with the issue said the Jewish holidays, the Paris conference in support of the Lebanese Armed Forces, and preparations for the UN General Assembly made it impossible for the key participants to convene in Rome as originally planned," the statemenr added.
