France's anti-Azerbaijani policy, which has intensified recently, has now also moved to the field of culture and art.
Axar.az reports with reference to the French publication "Le Messager" that the mayor's office of the French city of Evian-le-Ba, which signed a charter of friendship and cooperation with the Ismailli city of Azerbaijan in 2015, has recently adopted a decision that is hostile to culture.
So, according to the decision, all articles mentioning "Azerbaijan park" will be removed. It should be noted that "Azerbaijan Park" was opened in 2017.
According to the French publication, on Monday, December 18, representatives of the opposition demanded from the municipal council to officially remove all the signs in the city with the name of this park.
According to the mayor of the city, Jozian Ley, all references to the "Azerbaijan park" have already been deleted.
It was noted that the reason for the last decision of the city administration was France's "love" for Armenia.
Meanwhile, it seems that the enemies of Azerbaijani culture have now turned their attention to the monument of the famous Azerbaijani poet Khurshidbanu Nateva, erected in 2017.
This step of the mayor's office of the French city demonstrates the policy of cultural chauvinism, xenophobia, prejudice and intolerance towards other cultures that has prevailed in France recently.
