Kocharyan: Pashinyan knew the war was lost but continued

The most confusing moment for me was how Nikol Pashinyan rejected Russia’s proposal to end the war on October 18–19.

Axar.az reports, citing Unikal, that former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan said in an interview.

“Azerbaijan agreed, but Pashinyan refused, even though he knew for certain that Armenia was losing the war, since the General Staff had already reported that the army no longer had the resources to continue fighting. That report exists. Nevertheless, he decided to go on with the war.

He explained his decision by saying he did not want to be called a traitor. But that decision cost our people at least 2,500 additional deaths and 5,000–6,000 wounded. Is that the action of a leader?” the second President of Armenia emphasized.
