Ilham Aliyev praises Mirziyoyev for strengthening ties

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has made significant contributions to the development of Uzbek-Azerbaijani relations.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the 7th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia in Tashkent.

"Under the wise leadership of my brother, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Uzbekistan is confidently moving forward on the path of development and creativity. The international prestige of the President of Uzbekistan, effective economic reforms, and large-scale projects implemented in the fields of industry, transport, and agriculture have elevated Uzbekistan to a leading position in the region, and Uzbekistan is among the leading sports countries in the world. The recent Summer Olympic Games clearly demonstrated this. Shavkat Mirziyoyev is not only a wise statesman but also a person who has made significant contributions to the development of Uzbek-Azerbaijani relations. He is loved and respected in Azerbaijan for his concrete actions and warm attitude towards our people. Being a far-sighted politician, Shavkat Mirziyoyev clearly sees the need for closer cooperation between the countries of Central Asia and Azerbaijan. Once again, dear Shavkat Mirziyoyev, thank you very much for everything," the President of Azerbaijan emphasized.
