At the current stage, it is too early to discuss Azerbaijan’s participation in the international stabilization mission in Gaza.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, in an interview with Nikkei.

He noted that the U.S. has offered to have Azerbaijan join the mission, but no final decision has been made yet.

Hajiyev emphasized that the UN Security Council resolution does not provide clear information on the rules of engagement, operational procedures, or authority for the mission in Gaza.
