Harris slams U.S. operation in Venezuela

Maduro being a brutal, illegitimate dictator does not change the fact that this action (the U.S. military operation in Venezuela – ed.) is both illegal and reckless. We have seen this movie before. Regime change or wars for oil are presented as strength, but they turn into chaos, and American families pay the price.

Axar.az reports that this was written by former U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris on her X page.

“This is not about drugs or democracy. It is about oil and Donald Trump’s desire to play the role of a regional strongman. If he truly cared about either, he would not pardon a convicted drug trafficker while cutting deals with Maduro’s inner circle, nor would he sideline Venezuela’s legitimate opposition.

The president is putting troops at risk, spending billions of dollars, and destabilizing the region. America needs leadership that prioritizes lowering costs for working families, upholding the rule of law, strengthening alliances, and above all putting the American people first,” Harris said.

It should be noted that yesterday the U.S. military carried out strikes on Venezuela’s capital, Caracas, and captured President Maduro and his wife, taking them to the United States.
