Armenia awaits Russia’s response regarding railway restoration

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said he expects Russia to make a decision regarding the restoration of parts of Armenia’s railway connection with Turkiye and Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports, citing Armenpress, “Of course, this issue has been discussed. I have also had the opportunity to speak with the President of the Russian Federation. Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister has likewise had the opportunity to speak with Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister. We are now awaiting the response of our Russian partners,” Pashinyan said, adding that Armenia would like to see swift progress.

“Processes are underway. These processes imply that it needs to be done as quickly as possible. We are asking our Russian partners to make a decision on this matter,” the Prime Minister added when asked to comment.
