Azerbaijan, Latvia to share expertise on Karabakh forestation

The relevant ministries of Azerbaijan and Latvia will exchange experience on afforestation as part of the modernization and reconstruction of Karabakh.

Axar.az reports that Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics made the statement during a joint press briefing with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Baku.

Rinkevics noted that Latvia is a country rich in forests:

“We discussed both President Ilham Aliyev’s plans to plant more forests as part of the modernization and reconstruction of Karabakh, as well as these issues in a broader context. I believe that our advice and experience in this area could be useful for Azerbaijan, and we have instructed the relevant ministers to work in this direction,” he said.
