FM spoke to the French official about the Armenian terror

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has received a delegation led by Ambassador Gerard Scheznel, President of the French National Anti-Personnel Mine Action Commission (CNEMA).

Axar.az reports that the statement came from the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov spoke about the occupation of part of Azerbaijan's territory for about 30 years and its grave consequences. Noting that our lands were liberated by military-political means last year, the minister focused on Armenia's policy of deliberate mine contamination of our territories and spoke about the threat of landmines in the liberated territories. After the signing of the tripartite statement on November 10, 2020, a small part of Armenia, which initially denied the existence of mine maps in general, later informed the other side that the reliability of mine maps is only 25%. To date, 167 of our citizens have been affected by landmines, 33 of them have been killed, and two journalists have been killed.

The Minister also gave detailed information about the situation in the occupied territories, the urbicid, cultural and ecological acts committed by Armenia. At the same time, the French delegation was informed about the work done by the Government of Azerbaijan to restore and build the liberated territories, and the results achieved in this direction.

The delegation of the French National Commission for Mine Action thanked for the reception and informed about its activities. The intention of the commission to cooperate with the Azerbaijani side in the relevant field was expressed.

The sides also exchanged views on regional and international issues.
