Kyiv is seeking a license to produce Patriot interceptors domestically, saying they are vital for defending against Russian ballistic missile strikes.

Axar.az reports, citing local media, that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Friday that US President Donald Trump had told him he intended to grant Ukraine a license to produce the highly sought-after Patriot missiles.

“There are concrete agreements. At my latest meeting with me, President Trump emphasized: ‘Yes, I have made the final decision — Ukraine will receive licenses to produce Patriot missiles,’” Zelensky said in a voice message to journalists.
