Hotel employees embezzle nearly $1 million in Istanbul - Video

Eight employees of a five-star hotel in Istanbul’s Fatih district embezzled around $1 million over a two-year period.

Axar.az reports, citing Turkish media, that the employees were found to have stolen cash payments from customers, restaurant revenues and reservation fees. The hotel’s general manager and accounting manager used the stolen money to run another hotel.

Five suspects were arrested in the operation, while three others were placed under house arrest.
