In order to determine the exact number of Armenians living in the Karabakh economic region and their status, the Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Internal Affairs should conduct a census there in 2023.

Axar.az reports that these words were noted by the editor-in-chief of "National Defense" magazine, Russian military expert Igor Korotchenko.

"Baku should interrogate Armenians after integrating these territories and their inhabitants into the legal space of Azerbaijan. Two options should be given to them: either they should get Azerbaijani citizenship, or they should leave the region and go to Yerevan, Marseille, San Francisco," said Korotchenko.

According to Korotchenko, the extraction of minerals and any other entrepreneurial activity in the territory of the Karabakh economic region is exclusively the right of Azerbaijan.
