Azerbaijan and Central Asia have been united by cooperation and friendly relations for centuries.

Axar.az reports that the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said this in a statement to the press with the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov on April 24.

Emphasizing that the Central Asian region, the Caspian region where Azerbaijan is located, and the South Caucasus are of great importance today, the head of state emphasized that there is great potential, especially in the fields of energy, transport and trade.

"Most importantly, we are developing relations with our traditional partners, sister countries. "Cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic is also of particular importance," the President of Azerbaijan noted.
