These countries welcomed Armenia - no vote from Iran

As we reported, Armenia announced yesterday that it recognizes Palestine as a state.

Axar.az reports that Turkiye was the first country to welcome this decision of Armenia.

After that, Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Jordan, Oman, Kuwait announced that they welcomed Armenia's decision.

It is interesting that Iran, which has stated that it supports Palestine and takes a firm position against Israel, has not reacted yet. He drew attention to the phone conversation between Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on June 18. So, the announcement of Armenia's decision to recognize the Palestinian state after this conversation is interpreted as Yerevan's desire to normalize relations with Ankara. Iran has not yet announced that it supports Armenia's decision due to the fact that Turkiye has a say in the region.
