On September 5, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Claudio Descalzi, the chief executive officer of the Italian company "Eni S.P.A" in Rome.

Axar.az reports that the importance of the documents to be signed between SOCAR and Eni S.P.A. was touched upon at the meeting, and ideas were exchanged regarding the expansion and diversification of cooperation in the direction of applying new technologies in oil and gas, renewable energy and various fields of economy.

It was noted that after signing the documents, the "Eni S.P.A" company will prepare a working plan and strategy for achieving concrete results in a shorter period.
