U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump has stated that he is offended by Russian President Vladimir Putin's ironic remark in support of current U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris.

"I knew Putin well. He recently supported Harris. I was very offended. I wonder why he supported Harris. The Russian leader's statement was most likely made with a smile," Trump said.

It should be noted that Putin had earlier mockingly said that Moscow supports Harris, who is a candidate for the highest government position from the Democrats following the withdrawal of current President Joe Biden from the presidential race.
