Trump ally gets 9 years for election data breach

Tina Peters, a former Colorado county clerk and supporter of Trump’s MAGA movement, was sentenced to nine years in prison for her role in an election data breach.

Axar.az reports that a jury convicted Peters for allowing unauthorized access to Mesa County’s election system in a scheme fueled by false claims of fraud in the 2020 presidential election. The judge cited her deception and defiance in delivering the sentence, stating Peters would likely repeat the offense if given the chance.
