Why does Pashinyan insist on signing 16 articles?

Armenia states that there are 19 articles in the peace treaty: 16 have been agreed upon, while 3 have not. Why then include the unresolved articles in the peace document?

Axar.az reports that Russian political scientist Stanislav Tarasov commented on this issue.

He noted that Armenia's position on the matter is ambiguous:

"Armenia first agrees to the format of the contract's text, then claims that there are unresolved articles. They even propose to sign the peace document with only the agreed-upon details. If this happens, the signed treaty will be an entirely different document. Thus, in the current situation, Azerbaijan is formally correct. It should be noted that the document was prepared based on negotiations between Baku and Yerevan anyway."

Tarasov addressed the issue of why Armenia is delaying the signing of the document:

"Azerbaijan won the war, and now it must officially confirm this on a legal level. Signing the complete peace treaty would mean Armenia's formal acceptance of capitulation. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan insists on signing the 16 articles for this reason.

Overall, the issue regarding the corridor is merely speculation. Baku has announced that this topic has been removed from the document, meaning it is not a cause for delay. Yerevan is simply engaging in demagoguery. In general, Armenia should not have lost the war. Now Azerbaijan can demand what it wants as the victorious party."
