Moscow is doing everything it can to normalize relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, considering both countries as natural strategic partners, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

Axar.az reports that Putin made the statement during a ceremony where newly appointed ambassadors, including those from Azerbaijan and Armenia, presented their credentials.

“We have done and will continue to do everything to normalize Azerbaijan-Armenia relations, ensure sustainable peace, and support efforts on the peace treaty, delimitation of borders, and the opening of economic and transport links,” Putin said.

The Russian President also praised the meeting between the Azerbaijani and Armenian leaders at the BRICS summit in Kazan, highlighting their constructive discussions on achieving lasting peace and interethnic reconciliation in the region.

He added that Azerbaijan and Armenia are Russia's closest neighbors, best friends, natural strategic partners, and allies.
