Turkiye may increase mediation efforts in Ukraine crisis

Donald Trump's victory in the U.S. presidential election could prompt Turkiye to intensify its mediation efforts aimed at resolving the Ukraine conflict.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Turkiye’s "Hürriyet" newspaper.

It was noted that one of Trump's main campaign promises was to end the conflict in Ukraine:

"Putin was expecting Trump to win and hoped to sit at the negotiating table with Zelensky, who had lost U.S. support. Putin’s calculation was correct. This process could bring President Erdoğan to the forefront, as he is the only leader capable of speaking with Putin, Zelensky, and Trump."
