On May 19, Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev held bilateral meetings with delegations led by Crispin Chalamila, Director General of the Prevention and Combating of Corruption Bureau (PCCB) of the United Republic of Tanzania; Gaby Nestor Razakamanantsoa, Director General of the Independent Anti-Corruption Office of Madagascar; and Mokhtar Lakhdari, Director General of the Central Anti-Corruption Office of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.

Kamran Aliyev provided detailed information about institutional reforms in Azerbaijan’s fight against corruption, modern management mechanisms applied in prosecution bodies, and international cooperation initiatives. He emphasized the importance of global solidarity in combating transnational corruption and highlighted the significant role of the GlobE Network as a platform in this regard.
Discussions with the Tanzanian, Malagasy, and Algerian delegations focused on coordinating anti-corruption efforts at the regional and global levels, strengthening institutional capacity, and ensuring transparency. The parties underlined the importance of expanding direct cooperation between law enforcement agencies, as well as exchanging experience and information.
The guests highly appreciated Azerbaijan’s achievements in e-governance, promotion of ethical conduct principles, transparency, and accountability, expressing interest in benefiting from these practices.
At the end of the meetings, the delegations visited the Prosecutor General’s Office History Museum, where they viewed exhibits dedicated to the life and work of the national leader, Heydar Aliyev, and the historical development stages of Azerbaijan’s prosecution system.
