Canadian actress Charlotte Arnold accused Gerard Depardieu of rape. The artist broke the silence about what happened by publishing a post on her Twitter page.

Axar.az reports citing foreign media that the 25-year-old actress, star of the series “Investigations of Frankie Drake,” posted on social networks that she was “a victim of the great Russian actor.” According to her, the incident took place in August 2018. Since then, she has remained silent, but “the silence buries her alive.”

In turn, Depardieu denies the accusation, and his lawyers said they would defend the interests of the 72-year-old actor in court.

For the first time on charges of rape against Gerard Depardieu became known in February 2020. Then it was reported that a young actress made an accusation against the actor, according to her, the incident took place in the summer of 2018. The investigation was terminated in June 2019, as no corpus delicti was found. The actor denied the accusations from the girl.

In August 2020, the Paris prosecutor’s office sent a request to reopen the case. In October, it was reported that the investigation was reopened.
