The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, has expressed his condolences to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza.

Axar.az reports that the condolences read:

"I was deeply saddened by the news of the martyrdom and injury of a group of military personnel of the fraternal Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan as a result of a treacherous terrorist attack in the city of Quetta, Balochistan province, Pakistan. We pray for mercy for those who died, share the sorrow of their relatives, express our deep condolences to their families, and ask God for patience. We wish the injured a speedy recovery. May God have mercy on them."
