"Qarabag" players did not shy away from "Copenhagen".

Axar.az reports that "Qarabag" head coach Gurban Gurbanov said this at a press conference.

The experienced specialist shared his thoughts on the match of the second round of the main stage of the UEFA Champions League, in which they defeated the Danish representative "Copenhagen" (2:0) in Baku:

"I congratulate the players and fans. They were together on the field today. We achieved a great victory. The players did not shy away from the opponent; they fought. Such a fight will be useful in the upcoming matches. I wish our opponent success. They also see well. They are a positive team".

Gurbanov said that they always believed in victory:

"I was hoping for a better result in the European Cups this season. I always work with confidence. This must be a must. If one of us is afraid, if we hesitate, we will not succeed. If we go out on the field without confidence, we will lose. Maybe I did not expect six points in two rounds, but I believed. Mr. President Ilham Aliyev also congratulated us. I thank him. This increases our responsibility even more".

He emphasized that his experience in the European Cups also played a big role:

"Where there is success, there will be more attention, congratulations, and kind words. This should not mislead us. Sometimes there can be failure. We are happy that Turkiye, a brotherly country, supports us. I also congratulate the "Galatasaray" club on the victory.

The head coach spoke about his future goals:

"We can ask for a lot in life. "Qarabag" was the biggest weapon in my formation as a coach. The name of this team did not let me get tired or lose confidence. Our goal was to maintain stability. We knew that success would come. I have always demanded that the players fight like soldiers. Very rarely has the team been tired and not been able to do what we wanted. Even big and ambitious clubs sometimes stumble. Everyone is developing, looking for innovation."
