Rain, snow, and strong winds reported across Azerbaijan

The actual weather as of 11:00 on January 11 has been announced.

Axar.az reports that according to the information provided by the National Hydrometeorological Service, as of 11:00 on January 11, rainy and windy weather conditions are observed in some parts of the country, and snow is falling in mountainous areas.

The depth of the falling snow is 27 in Zagatala (Alibey), 15 in Gakh, 11 in Guba, 8 in Gusar, 4 in Gadabay, 3 in Sadarak, 2 in Shahdag, Dashkesan, 1 in Khaltan, Sheki (Kishchay).

Northwesterly winds are blowing in a number of areas. The maximum wind speed is 21 in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, 18 in Mingachevir, and 16 m/s in Gobustan.

Fog is observed in Nakhchivan, Sharur, Julfa, Dashkesan, Goygol, Balakan, Gakh, Zagatala, Gabala, Sheki, Shamakhi, Gobustan, Guba, Gusar, Goychay, Kurdamir, Sabirabad, Bilasuvar, Lerik, and visibility is expected to be limited to 500 meters.
