Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II will visit Zangazur (Sunik) and the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Echmiadzin Church Chief Ter Vagram Malikyan.

Garegin II's visit will take place next weekend.

"Various events are planned in Zangazur and Karabakh," Malikyan said.

According to him, the Catholicos will visit Armenian shrines in Karabakh and the regions of Azerbaijan under the control of Russian peacekeepers.
