Kyrgyzstan sets presidential election for January 27

The next presidential election in Kyrgyzstan will be held on January 27, 2027.

Axar.az reports, citing 24KG, that Parliament has approved a resolution "On Scheduling the Next Presidential Election in the Kyrgyz Republic."

Under the constitutional law "On the Election of the President and Deputies of the Zhogorku Kenesh," neither the president nor a member of parliament is required to resign from office when participating in an election.

According to preliminary information, the election campaign period will begin on December 22 or 23.
