A fire broke out on the evening of September 23 at a Starlink ground station in the Polish village of Wola Krobowska, in the Masovian Voivodeship. Arson is among the main theories being investigated.

Axar.az informs, citing Polish media, preliminary findings by authorities and law enforcement suggest that the station may have been deliberately set on fire. Investigators are also considering the possibility of a short circuit in the electrical system.

Polish Digital Affairs Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski said there were strong indications that the fire was a deliberate attempt to disrupt the station’s operations.

The Starlink ground station in Wola Krobowska is part of the satellite communications network. Together with a station near Kaunas, Lithuania, it provides internet connectivity to much of Central and Eastern Europe, particularly Ukraine.

The facility has around 10 antennas, each about two meters in diameter, and is enclosed by a metal fence.
