80 percent of those registered as missing persons during the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict are military personnel.

Axar.az reports that this was said by Ilaha Huseynova, head of the Public Relations Department of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Baku.

He said that a total of 4,500 people are considered missing since the beginning of the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia in the 1990s.

"Since 1990, 3,800 people have been registered in Baku and Barda offices of the International Committee of the Red Cross. 80 percent of them are military personnel," said I. Huseynova.
