Within the framework of the 5th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition "ADEX" held on September 24 at the Baku Expo Center, the Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov, met with the Minister of National Defense of Turkiye, Yasar Güler.

At the meeting held in a large format, the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan - Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army Colonel-General Karim Valiyev, the Deputy Minister of Defense - General Director Mr. Agil Gurbanov, the Deputy Minister of Defense - Acting Commander of the Air Force Lieutenant General Namig Islamzade, the Minister of Defense advisor Colonel-General Bakhtiyar Ersay, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Turkey General Metin Gurak, Commander of the Navy Admiral Ercüment Tatlıoghlu, Commander of the Ground Forces Army General Selçuk Bayraktaroghlu, Commander of the Air Force Army General Ziya Cemal Kadıoğlu, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkiye to Azerbaijan Mr. Cahit Bagci and other officials participated.

It was stated at the meeting that Azerbaijan-Turkiye relations are based on friendship, brotherhood and strategic alliance. They expressed satisfaction with the current state of cooperation in the field of military, military-technical, military education and military medicine between our countries, and exchanged broad views on the development prospects of bilateral relations, regional security and other issues.

Then Colonel-General Z. Hasanov met with the delegation led by Mr. Haluk Gorgun, Chairman of the Defense Industry Committee of the Presidential Administration of Turkiye.

In the meeting, which was attended by the heads of several leading military industrial companies of Turkiye, confidence was expressed that joint military-technical projects will further increase the defense power of both brotherly countries, and new perspectives of cooperation were discussed.

The importance of increasing joint production with the application of technological innovations was also specially mentioned in the meetings. "ADEX" 5th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition was highly appreciated.

At the end of both meetings, several agreements on military-technical cooperation were signed.
