Among the delegation from Guinea-Bissau visiting Baku, there are individuals who once graduated from Azerbaijan’s higher education institutions, including prominent figures from the country.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Carlos Pinto Pereira, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Diaspora of Guinea-Bissau, during his meeting with President Ilham Aliyev in Baku.

During the meeting, he noted that the Azerbaijani side had granted scholarships for students from Guinea-Bissau, particularly in the fields of engineering, petroleum engineering, and other areas.

The discussion also covered cooperation in the oil and mining sectors, with an exchange of views on Azerbaijan’s expertise in these areas and the implementation of geological exploration work.
