On December 25, a meeting of the State Commission established to investigate the causes of the plane crash was held by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

The chairman of the commission, Ali Asadov, said that President Ilham Aliyev took personal control over the investigation into the incident.

The State Commission considered a number of important and urgent issues, including cases related to the provision of necessary assistance to those injured and injured as a result of an accident. Minister of Health Teymur Musayev was given relevant tasks to provide medical assistance to those persons together with the Kazakh side.

It was noted that work on the identification of the persons who died as a result of the accident was being carried out. An order was given to take urgent measures to carry out necessary work with the families and relatives of the injured persons.

It was noted that through the "Hotline" established at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, the family members and relatives of the passengers of the crashed plane were informed accordingly, and psychological and other necessary support was provided to them.

It was reported that the General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan is investigating the causes of the incident together with its Kazakh colleagues and is conducting a criminal investigation. A task was given to regularly inform the public about the progress of the investigation.

It was reported that the Azerbaijani citizens who were injured as a result of the accident and are currently being treated in Aktau city, as necessary and based on the consent of the doctors, are taking appropriate measures to organize the evacuation of Azerbaijan.

It was emphasized that there are constant close contacts and joint efforts with Kazakhstani colleagues at the level of government members regarding the provision of necessary assistance to injured persons and the resolution of other issues arising from it. The members of the commission were given tasks related to the conduct of relevant work within their powers.
