Erdogan condoles Azerbaijan over plane crash

President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressed a letter of condolence to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

Axar.az reports that the letter of condolence states:

"Dear President, Dear Brother,

This morning, I learned with great sadness that the plane belonging to "Azerbaijan Airlines" crashed in the city of Aktau, Kazakhstan and that there were people who lost their lives and were injured in the accident.

On behalf of Your Excellency and the brotherly people of Azerbaijan, especially those who have lost their loved ones, I express my condolences on behalf of my people and myself and ask for patience. I pray to the Almighty God to have mercy on those who lost their lives and speedy recovery to the wounded.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, I once again express my best wishes for the well-being and prosperity of Your Excellency and the fraternal people of Azerbaijan."
