President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has expressed condolences to the leaders of Azerbaijan and Russia, Ilham Aliyev and Vladimir Putin, regarding the crash of an AZAL aircraft near Aktau en route from Baku to Grozny.

"President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has expressed condolences to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Russia Vladimir Putin over the numerous casualties resulting from the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines passenger aircraft near the city of Aktau, Kazakhstan," the statement noted.

Mirziyoyev wished a speedy recovery to those injured.
