Ukrainian Ambassador expresses condolences to Azerbaijan

The Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan, Yuriy Husyev, has expressed condolences regarding the crash of an aircraft belonging to Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan.

Axar.az reports that the ambassador shared a post on his social media account about the incident.

"I deeply sympathizes and in coordination with the Embassy of Ukraine in Kazakhstan,clarifies the information and explores the events of this horrible air tragedy," he wrote.

It is worth noting that the "Embraer" aircraft of Azerbaijan Airlines, which was flying from Baku to Grozny, crashed today near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. There were 67 people on board. Of them, 42 were from Azerbaijan, 16 from Russia, 6 from Kazakhstan, and 3 from Kyrgyzstan. In connection with the incident, a day of mourning was declared in Azerbaijan on October 26.
