On January 8, with the participation of Leyla Aliyeva, the vice president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, and Arzu Aliyeva, the head of the Baku Media Center, the renovated courtyards covering the multi-story buildings where more than 3000 residents live in the capital's Nizami and Khatai districts were put to use.

Axar.az reports that Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva, together with IDEA volunteers, participated in tree-planting actions held in yards and presented gifts to young residents living in those areas.

As in other areas landscaped within the framework of the "Our Yard" project, in the reconstructed next yards, the comfortable movement of people with disabilities was taken into account, creating favorable conditions for the development of children of all age groups, effectively organizing the leisure time of young people and increasing their interest in sports in the area. a covered mini-football field, various sports facilities, a chess field, and a playground for children have been built. At the same time, chat rooms, numerous seats, bird nests, and cat houses were installed in the courtyards. In addition, new lighting poles, and surveillance cameras were installed in the courtyards, the facades and blocks of the buildings were completely repaired, and the asphalt and roof covering and electric lines were updated. In addition to the restoration of the existing greenery in the courtyards, various types of trees and shrubs were planted and a green belt was laid. In addition, "green fences" were created by planting common stone ivy and other creeping plants around the courtyards to prevent air pollution.

It should be noted that the "Our Yard" project has been implemented since 2017 at the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, the founder and head of IDEA Public Union. The main goal of the project is to make the courtyards in the capital area ecologically clean and beautiful, to restore greenery, to create a meaningful recreation environment, and to create safe and comfortable living conditions for residents. Within the framework of the "Our Yard" project, 156 common residential areas have been renovated and put to the use of residents.
