Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan sign defense deal at IDEX-2025

On February 17, within the framework of the “IDEX-2025” International Defense Exhibition held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Minister of Defense Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Vugar Mustafayev, met with the Director of the Defense Industry Agency under the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mansurjon Ibodullayev.

Axar.az reports that the Ministry of Defense Industry was informed about this.

The meeting discussed the prospects for the development of cooperation in the military-technical field between the two countries, and a detailed exchange of views on several issues of mutual interest was held.

Finally, a Roadmap for cooperation was signed between the “Azersilah” Defense Industry Holding” Closed Joint Stock Company under the Ministry of Defense Industry and the Defense Industry Agency under the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the exhibition, V. Mustafayev also met with the heads of the companies “Makine ve Kimya Endüstrisi” of the Republic of Turkey, “International Golden Group” of the UAE, “Jugoimport” of the Republic of Serbia, and “Rheinmetall” of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The meetings discussed opportunities for cooperation in the defense industry and prospects for the development of relations in the military-technical field.
