Ship with Azerbaijanis sinking in Azov Sea -

A ship with Azerbaijanis on board is sinking in the Azov Sea.

Axar.az reports that the Panama-flagged vessel PAVEL GRABOVSKIY, carrying 11 people, has suffered severe damage after colliding with ice in the Azov Sea.

The ship has been punctured in multiple places and is currently on the verge of sinking.

The captain and several crew members of the ship, which was commissioned in 1979, are Azerbaijani.

It is reported that no SOS signal was sent for unknown reasons.

There are claims that the ship’s owner, Vizo Star, is waiting for it to fully sink to collect insurance money.
