The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Shahin Mustafayev, and the Minister of Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Farzaneh Sadegh, conducted a joint inspection of the Agband Bridge and the construction of the Horadiz-Agband railway.

Axar.az informs, citing APА, Shahin Mustafayev and Farzaneh Sadegh reviewed ongoing joint infrastructure projects, including the Agband Bridge and the construction of the Horadiz-Agband railway.

During the visit, plans were discussed for the commissioning of the Agband Bridge in early 2026 and measures to facilitate its operation.

It was decided that the construction of the border bridge should be completed by November of this year and be ready for inauguration.

Additionally, necessary steps were agreed upon for the temporary operation of the border terminal located in Iranian territory, with the terminal set to be fully operational by 2026.

Moreover, it was planned to restore both cargo and passenger vehicle traffic by the end of this year.
