Today, the "Road to Miami" online tournament, held as part of the Champions Chess Tour, has started with the participation of Azerbaijani grandmasters Shahriyar Mammadyarov and Teymur Rajabov.

Axar.az reports that the preliminary stage of the competition will be held in four days, where 16 participants will determine the eight pairs that will play in the playoffs.

In the round-robin system, 3 points are awarded for a win and 1 point for a draw.

The first meetings with the participation of our compatriots have already ended. Mammadyarov won against Aronian and Rajabov with a minimal score (1:0).

Rajabov and Mammadyarov will meet each other in the 2nd round. In the next rounds, Mammadyarov will meet with Rapport and Voytashek, and Rajabov will meet with Erigaisi and Yu Wenjun.
