Jurgen Klinsmann has been removed from the position of head coach of the South Korean national team.

Axar.az reports that the president of the Korean Football Association (KFA) Chung Mong-kyu announced this at a press conference held after a 2-hour meeting with the management team of the organization.

The reason for the dismissal of the well-known specialist is the unsuccessful participation of the South Korean national team in the Asian Cup held in Qatar. Klinsmann's team lost to Jordan, which is 64 places below them in the ranking table, in the semi-finals, and South Korea's dream of becoming the Asian champion was crossed out.

It should be noted that Jurgen Klinsmann, one of the best players in the history of German football, started coaching after finishing his playing career. In the past, he was the head coach of Germany (2004-2006) and the US national team (2011-2016), as well as "Bavaria" (2008-2009) and "Hertha" (2019-2020). He worked as a specialist on ESPN and BBC television channels for the world (2010, 2018, 2022) and European (2020) championships.
