Azerbaijani fencer won a gold medal in Sweden

Vahab Fatullayev, a member of Azerbaijan's national junior fencing team, won a gold medal in the international tournament held in Örebro, Sweden.

Axar.az reports that our fencer, who finished the group stage with 5 victories, advanced to the playoffs in the individual competition of boys under 17 years of age. On the way to the final, V. Fatullayev, who defeated his opponents representing Norway, Denmark, Estonia and Sweden, won the decisive match against Filip Zimmerman (Sweden) with a score of 15:10 and took the first place in the podium.

It should be noted that nearly 100 athletes from 10 countries competed in the international tournament.
