Ali Aliyev defeats Armenian oppenent in Bahrain

Azerbaijani boxer Ali Aliyev (46 kg) won a gold medal by defeating an Armenian athlete at the Gymnasiade Sports Games held in Manama, the capital of Bahrain.

Axar.az reports that Aliyev secured a confident victory in the decisive match, rising to the highest step of the podium.

This is the first gold medal for Azerbaijani boxers in Manama.

It is worth noting that the team, consisting of boys with two bronze medals, will have another eight boxers competing in the finals.
