Necessary and urgent measures are being taken by the forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in connection with the elimination of the consequences of the fire explosion event that occurred in the shop located on A. Kunanbayev Street, Binagadi district, Baku City.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, three people were rescued from the rubble by the rescuers and handed over to the emergency medical team, and the citizens in the shop and nearby were evacuated.

Currently, the search and rescue operation continues with the involvement of specially trained dogs of the Special Risk Rescue Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Colonel Rza Khudiyev, deputy head of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergencies, told reporters that a fire alarm was received at 11:50 a.m., and the first fire units arrived at the scene 6 minutes later:

"As a result, 2,750 square meters of production shops with a total area of 13,000 square meters were destroyed. Currently, the fire is completely extinguished."
